Day Camp
Join the YMCA on extended school breaks for our Day Camp program! Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy arts & crafts, songs, games, adventures, new friends and more!
Program hours are from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM – Program activities run from 9 am – 4 pm Monday – Friday.
A full refund or credit will be issued if cancellation is received by Monday prior to the camp week (7 days in advance). Cancellations or no shows will be charged for the full week.
A $20 non-refundable deposit per camp week per camper must be paid at the time of registration.

Camp Harstad (Ages 6-17)
The YMCA and the Rotary Club of Escanaba have partnered to provide a wonderful Day Camp experience for individuals with mild to moderate special needs ages 6-17. Due to state regulation, we are not able to accept any campers once they turn 18. Campers turning 18 throughout the summer are welcome to enroll in camp up until their birthday. If a camper’s birthday falls in the middle of a camp week, they are permitted to finish out that week per state regulations.
The program is located at Rotary Camp Harstad on M-35 in Ford River just south of Escanaba. The Drop off and Pick up point will be the Wells Child Care Center located at 5775 Main Street, Wells MI.
The program offers arts and crafts, nature hikes, songs and skits, swimming, and so much more! Campers will have the opportunity to have a great summer and make new friends!
Campers will need to bring a packed lunch, a labeled water bottle, swim gear (we will be Wading in Lake Michigan), and outdoor clothing including tennis shoes.
Cost: $60/week/child

Wells Summer Program ( Ages 5-6 )
Wells Summer Program kids will experience weekly themes with corresponding arts & crafts, activities, and outdoor exploration.
Participants will need to bring a packed lunch, a labeled water bottle, swim gear, and outdoor clothing including tennis shoes.
Before and After Care are offered from 7:30 am – 9:00 am & 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm at no additional charge.
The program will take place at the YMCA Childcare Center located at 5775 Main Street, Wells MI.
Cost: Members – $175/week/child Public – $210/week/child
5 year olds MUST have completed a FULL year of Kindergarten or Kindergarten Readiness to Enroll
