American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding Course

American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding Course is designed to guide youth ages 11-14 to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. Participants are not required to master or perfectly execute skills. They will learn techniques and build stamina during this program.

*The Junior Lifeguarding course does not certify participants in first aid, CPR or AED or as a lifeguard.

 

Before participating in this course, participants must first complete a swim test with a YMCA swim instructor. A YMCA staff member will contact participants to set up a time to test.
